Shenzhen Luohu People's Hospital (The Third Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University), founded in April 1957, is located in the bustling commercial district of Luohu, Shenzhen, adjacent to the Luohu Port and Wenjindu Port. It is a modern tertiary Grade A general hospital that integrates medical treatment, teaching, research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation. The hospital boasts complete disciplines, advanced equipment, and strong technical capabilities.

In August 2015, the hospital took the lead in establishing the first tightly-integrated urban medical consortium in Shenzhen – Shenzhen Luohu Hospital Group, initiating a reform of an integrated healthcare service system centered on "health" and focusing on "primary care". This reform model has become a paradigm, promoted nationwide and recommended by the World Health Organization.

The hospital currently has three branches (Jiabin Branch, Chunfeng Branch, and Qingshuihe Branch), one geriatric branch (Luohu District Medical-Nursing Integrated Geriatric Hospital), and one research institute (Shenzhen Zhongxun Precision Medicine Research Institute). Currently, it has 902 authorized beds, with 105 senior professors, 224 associate senior professors, 113 PhDs, and 494 master's degree holders.

The hospital has two key clinical specialty construction projects in Guangdong Province (Urology and General Practice), three Shenzhen Medical Key Disciplines (Urology, Medical Laboratory, and General Practice), one characteristic traditional Chinese medicine specialty in Shenzhen (Traditional Chinese Medicine Pulmonology), and one key laboratory in Shenzhen (Key Laboratory for Trace Intelligence Clinical Application).

The hospital is equipped with advanced medical devices such as a stereotactic gamma-ray radiation therapy system, the fourth-generation da Vinci Xi surgical robot, and an Elekta Infinity medical linear accelerator. The operating rooms are state-of-the-art laminar flow operating rooms capable of performing various types of surgeries.
